The PENELOPE, a patented (USA) innovation, combines three trusted medical technologies—LEDs, ultrasound, and vacuum—into a single handheld device for easy at-home use, particularly for those dealing with cellulite and similar textural concerns.
Cellulite presents as uneven, dimpled skin, akin to an orange peel's texture, caused by subcutaneous fat deposits within fibrous connective tissue, often seen in the thighs, hips, and buttocks.
Though the exact cause of cellulite remains uncertain, identifiable tissue characteristics include reduced collagen, poor blood flow, and irregular connective tissue bands. Good blood circulation aids collagen production, crucial for improving skin condition and minimizing the visibility of irregular fat layers.
This enhanced circulation also maintains proper tissue hydration, preventing the formation of abnormal connective tissue bands that trap fatty tissue near the skin's surface.
